I dont like conflicts. They just tend to be drawn towards me. I learned to deal with them in a working way. There is a reason for so many people having so much pain. Because one accepts none, one gets everything. There is a reason for so much conflict. 'whatever' (cant exactly sure what it is), by talking about my past, 'people like me', 'my lack of' (insert whatever you see proper here), and so on. basically, he has preferred to assault me instead of discussing the philosophy (i see he didnt make any mention about the bolded philosophical definitions above), however, ironically he is 'calling me over' to that side, with 'love'. Quote:They just tend to be drawn towards me. quite. you have created such a 'conflict' situation in your 2nd reply to me, when i objected to your proposition that competition was positive. it took the form of direct assault on my past, which you know nothing about. There is a saying in gaming: Do not feed the trolls. What is a troll ? We have a deffinition on wikipedia. In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory[citation needed], extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[2] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion. Yes, I am being judgemental about you unity100. And what I see and read indeed does make me sad. I do not know your litteral past. I read your attitude that you have behind the keyboard comming from your brain. Attitude is 100 %. It reveals alot. I wish you all the best. A trigger hurts to fix. Humanity does not accept any pain. So they often just take pharma or something. The quick fix. So, humanity gets all the pain. Indeed, this topic has been on the spot all the way through. I now close this channel. love RE: 2006.03.28 - Q'uo on Online Gaming - Oceania - 07-11-2011 i think Unity is just perfect. ![]() RE: 2006.03.28 - Q'uo on Online Gaming - unity100 - 07-11-2011 (07-11-2011, 07:53 PM)Zygra Wrote: This will be my last topic for this discussion. actually, you have assaulted the opposing debater's persona much faster than it happens in world of warcraft forums - post #2 from the point i objected you. it is appalling that you have done this, and yet are talking about "fixing humanity's pains". and you are 'sad' about that and all. the icing on the cake is after assault on the other person's character at post #2, you are now citing wikipedia on internet trolling. i have no problems in anyone analyzing me, my past, my whatever, even being 'judgmental' about it, as long as they keep to reason instead of baseless labeling based on nonexistent information - as long as they keep on topic. up to this point, you STILL havent provided ANYthing as to the philosophical basis of this question - competition being inherently negative since it involves winners and losers. you are STILL talking about me, instead of talking about the opposing argument. RE: 2006.03.28 - Q'uo on Online Gaming - Turtle - 07-11-2011 Although a competition is inherently negative in the sense that there can only be one winner and one loser, this does not mean that both people (in a friendly duel for example) cannot walk away from the event with nothing more than a loss of physical energy. It should be noted however that it would take some highly self-disciplined and self-knowledgeable people to walk away from it without any emotional change, let alone polarity differences. In a friendly mock duel between two people, what would be the benefit of it then? Well...how about for simply the enjoyment of testing one's mastery of a martial art form against another who is able to counter it? It could be a beautiful practice in self-testing of one's form, shared with another more like a dance, rather than a fight to the finish. This is of course just one way of looking at it...and yet... ...competition in a more general sense between humans in any arena, online or in person, would most obviously not be this refined. At best maybe 2 or 3 people in say a 20 vs 20 online fight would understand in any conscious way that they are not emotionally involved in the game, and are playing it simply to enjoy the cooperative elements. RE: 2006.03.28 - Q'uo on Online Gaming - Oceania - 07-12-2011 competition creates a friendly atmosphere of trying to be better together. as long as all are on the same page. the loser rejoices for the winner because it means the same as the loser had won. this would be 4D competition. This is of course just one way of looking at it...and yet... two entities walking away from a competition would just mean that those entities ceased competing, or, controlled/suppressed/ignored the associated mechanics/feelings about it. it would not change the core nature of the event - some wins, some lose. even the proposal of 'testing one's mastery in martial art form' carries immediate undertones of one besting another and triumphing over the other. the situation may be described and referred to as 'i tested my mastery', but, referring to the event in that manner will not negate the former concept. The whole series is stellar! Top notch for sure! I like how in Ultima IX, the Avatar finally figures out that the more he bought into the idea of being Brittania's personal savior in the previous episodes, the more he opened the door for the Guardian to enter through the Black Gate. After finally tracking the Guardian down, the Avatar makes to do battle with his sword and shield, only to find that every time he strikes the Guardian, he damages himself! Because, ultimately, the Avatar and the Guardian are One! The only way for the Avatar to save Britannia is to invoke the spell of Ascension, thus binding himself to the Guardian and removing both of them from the land. Finally, at long last, the Avatar realizes that it is time for the residents of Britannia to discern the path for themselves, rather than to follow a single charismatic leader. Stellar reference. I am as excited in Azazel in Guardians from the Octave Above with respect to my Wrinkle in Time reference. ![]() RE: 2006.03.28 - Q'uo on Online Gaming - BrownEye - 12-10-2011 Six hundred million gamers could be war criminals, Red Cross says http://www.news.com.au/technology/gaming/six-hundred-million-gamers-could-be-war-criminals-red-cross-says/story-e6frfrt9-1226216184190 RE: 2006.03.28 - Q'uo on Online Gaming - Observer - 12-15-2011 I have noticed an increasing lack in my desire to partake in the games that I used to play, I replace the activity with other more enjoyable things. ![]() RE: 2006.03.28 - Q'uo on Online Gaming - Oldern - 12-15-2011 (12-15-2011, 12:03 PM)Observer Wrote: I have noticed an increasing lack in my desire to partake in the games that I used to play, I replace the activity with other more enjoyable things. When I see this thread bumped, I literally wanted to come in and say the same. I used to play (when meeting with this forum) 3-5 hours of competitive gaming - StarCraft II and Street Fighter IV - daily as my main source of entertainment in the free time. As I am doing yoga, meditation, and "tuning in" to be more and more balanced, I became less and less interested in this. I still turn my 360 on to meet with my friends online, and I join the games, I love to have a good laugh with all of them on party chat, but honestly, just practicing some combos in training mode in Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 is enough for me, and I am not sad if I do not have anyone to play "against". Also, when I lose, I go and send a complementary message to the one who beat me, even when I might feel a little bad about "lost". Immediately there is a tension releasing in the heart chakra this way, and I can literally feel it. It feels good to gratulate your opponent and send love, instead of holding on to that SALT! ![]() RE: 2006.03.28 - Q'uo on Online Gaming - Avocado - 12-16-2011 (12-15-2011, 12:17 PM)Oldern Wrote:Whoa way cool. I get those sporty vibes from CS as well. Minecraft guy - "Once sales start dying and a minimum time has passed, I will release the game source code as some kind of open source. I'm not very happy with the draconian nature of (L)GPL, nor do I believe the other licenses have much merit other than to boost the egos of the original authors, so I might just possibly release it all as public domain.
