RE: The Dream Thread - Oceania - 06-21-2012

nightmares.

then i dreamt i was in australia. i was on a school trip and my school was like doing somekind of dance or sports thing where we had to work as a team and i felt excluded by everyone. i forget why. so i was mad and wanted some beer, and i went to the bar that was in the same room as the sports event thing, and i was like gimme a beer. and i showed them id. and the lady said she couldn't give me a beer as i didn't have something else... something stupid. i got mad and was like you suck, australia sucks. so anyway i decided to get beer anyway but now i forget how i did it. the dream had a yellow tone to it, and the woman at the counter had curly light colored hair like you'd see on the Golden Girls... the beer was amber colored and tinted the whole dream.

RE: The Dream Thread - Cyan - 06-21-2012

I keep getting the same kind of dream these days that is usually just me in a world with 3-7 people who talk about things and hang around and at some point i feel really good or i run around the forest or something and then before i wake up i have a convo about what i want out of life and then when i think in the dream that "this would be a good time to wake up now" i wake up refreshed and happy.

RE: The Dream Thread - AnthroHeart - 06-21-2012

I seem to have more space dreams than usual. But pity I can't remember them. I dreamed once of a portal that connected a planet to its star.

RE: The Dream Thread - Seed - 06-21-2012

I know it's not quite a dream, but a few times lately I've been experiencing a "waking nightmare" I guess? When I was little I used to be scared of a monster reaching up and grabbing my feet. Last night I woke up in the middle of the night and felt a "presence" or something. And after years of being over my fears I have the thought, "I hope it doesn't grab my feet," and right after that I physically felt something brush over the top of my feet. Scared me to the core. I wasn't in the half-sleep state either; fully awake. Could this be perhaps my own self manifesting, or a silly entity trying to feed off my fears? Then again upon further reflection the touch was gentle, so maybe even a positive entity?

RE: The Dream Thread - AnthroHeart - 06-21-2012

Seed, that reminds me of one time when I was trying astral projection. I was still in my body, but I shifted to another level where I felt a presence sitting on my chest as I was lying down. I felt the definite weight of it. I had to back off and came back fully into my body. It scared me a little, not much. But it was more frustrating since it prevented me from exploring this rare opportunity.

RE: The Dream Thread - Unbound - 06-21-2012

I haven't dreamt in months it feels aha

RE: The Dream Thread - Oceania - 06-21-2012

i was once locked physically in place and drifting in and out and felt a precence on "another level"... it's normal i'm sure.

Stuff like that happens to me too. The important thing to remember is that these are opportunities for you to work through some of those fears. If this happens again it will be less frightening and so on until it just makes you smile. So whether it was a negative entity or not, it does not matter much. It's just a catalyst. Smile

RE: The Dream Thread - AnthroHeart - 06-21-2012

Bashar says how only the experience is real. This is catalyst, the experience. Fear has played a big part in my experiences, but I've also had a great amount of love, they seem to be balanced. When I have my crazy experiences again, I'll try to remember that it's just catalyst.

Maybe you are simply too "awake". Wink

RE: The Dream Thread - Unbound - 06-21-2012

Aha It has been said that the clearer one's mind the less they dream, but somehow I think I am just not meant to remember my astral adventures. It would be too exhausting, as I am quit busy in my sleep. I go through quite a few changing states during dreamtime before sleep.

RE: The Dream Thread - jacrob - 06-22-2012

I think if you ask your higher self to help you remember the important symbols within the dream (before you go to sleep) it really helps. That's how I started to remember my dreams. I would wake up and only remember one symbol such as a tree with green leaves. And gradually over time I got more symbols. It's become very interesting to research the meanings and sometimes they are so profound. Keep a pen and paper next to your bed and when you wake up write down the first thing you remember dreaming about even if it's just 1 small visual symbol or colour. Then maybe we can all start helping each other interpret the meaning.

I have this fear of something grabbing my feet too. I usually sleep with my whole body under the covers, even if it's boiling hot. And I felt something on my bed one night as well. I woke up and it was like something was sitting on the end of my bed and got up. I felt the bed raise. It rattled me a bit then I thought the next day that it was my Higher Self trying to let me know it was there.

Around this time I asked my Higher Self and/or guides to appear in a photo I took above my bed and I got these 2 really cute orbs with cute faces....although lots of people have looked at them and said they cant see anything. I'll try to attach them now and see if it works...the first one was when I woke up and is above my pillow. Second is also above the bed.

RE: The Dream Thread - Oceania - 06-22-2012

i see them!

RE: The Dream Thread - Unbound - 06-22-2012

Aha If the dream is important it's usually lucid and sticks quite well in my memory. I don't even bother to ask to remember, I don't feel it's important at this time.

RE: The Dream Thread - Brittany - 06-23-2012

I had a dream about lizard people. They didn't look like the common depictions of reptilians. They were sleek and thin, sort of like geckos, and they were a deep sea green color. Very pretty to look at. I wish I could remember what the dream was actually about. Sad
Aww...those faces are so cute, Jacrob!

Lizards in dreams are a good sign apparently, my dream book at home says it relates to ancient tribal dreaming rites but I can't remember what exactly.

I found this interesting quote now about lizard totems on shamanicjourney.com (http://www.shamanicjourney.com/article/6011/lizard-power-animal-symbol-of-dreaming-and-conservation) :
"Through myth and legend Lizard is associated with the dream time. When we dream, we imagine different futures and decide which we will materialise. Dreams contain some of the subtlest perceptions of the mind of which we may not be conscious. Lizard helps us see the importance of respecting and remembering our dreams. Lizard medicine is the companion of every day waking reality, where our dreams are studied before they are manifested physically. Pay attention to your dreams, as they reveal to us what we are not aware of when we are awake. Dreams show us our fears and desires. It is suggested that you keep a journal of your dreams, to be studied. Especially the symbolic and recurring ones, lizard shows us hidden messages in the dream state."

I'm glad you guys can see the faces. They are very cute and inspiring to me when I'm feeling spiritually exhausted. Funny how no-one else can see them (I'm referring to my friends and work mates who are generally all agnostic or atheist). Maybe you need some sort of spiritual awakening to 'have the eyes to see'.

In the first I see a huge grin....or maybe that's because I want to see that.

RE: The Dream Thread - Aureus - 06-25-2012

I rarely remember my dreamtime adventures. But last night I really called out/in for me to remember, and have a significant experience... And did I..

Started out at a party, met some of you guys there. At least I remember theEternal and/or Godwide_void. I met some old friends, they had changed.. They had gotten their hair dyed in extreme colors and pierced themselves, significating big change.

Anyway, this isn't really that relevant to the real experience. Here goes:

I was walking home from the party, in the middle of the night. I was wearing only my blanket (thought to myself what a strange toga). It was pitch black outside, and I could barely see anything at all, even though I knew where I was. Suddenly a man appeared walking two dogs. He called to me for my attention. I felt uncomfortable, but I tried to respond. But my voice was weak, and it took me several attempts to say anything at all.

As I looked at him again, I saw only one dog. The dog grew increasingly larger and muscular. It looked like a giant bodybuilder greyhound. Me, being a catperson began fearing whether the mysterious man was gonna ask me to watch this monster. But he had something else in mind.. As I saw him I turned fully lucid.

The man had purple skin, with dark strands painted on him. His eyes were not human, and he had an overall mystical deity-god look to him. As I saw him, I somehow knew that my prayers had been answered for a guide.

He pointed to a church on a hill, the windows were glowing silently. Outside the church stood a great Grim Reaper. He was acting furiously by the door. The mysterious man pointed me to him, and told me to do something.

I managed to say "I love you" in a low and insecure voice to the reaper, who now came storming at me. I fell over with Death covering me.

Then I remembered "the beauty" that TheEternal told me about, and which I read about in a book. Along with this came "find the love in each moment", and I started telling a story, and managed to steer the situation into another polarity. Sudden flashes of beauty and peace alternated with the terror.

I knew this was the lesson.. To always look to the bright side and not pay the darkness any attention. That one does indeed create ones experience.

I awoke incredibly excited and happy over what had just happened. I wondered who this mysterious teacher could be. He faintly resembled Godwide's profile picture ^^ Although more real and less etheral.

RE: The Dream Thread - Eddie - 07-04-2012

Last night I dreamt I was sitting in a great white oak tree with a friend. The tree was huge and had large, spreading horizontal limbs, so there were plenty of comfortable places to sit. The tree was at the northeastern end of the dam of a small lake; the lake was state property (Dept of Fish and Wildlife), but the tree was just inside the property line of a private landowner, and apparently I had permission to be on the land. My companion kept alternating between two of my close friends; he was one person for a moment, then the other, etc.

Apparently the lake was part of some fish hatchery. The lake had been formed by damming up the floodplain of a small creek. There were two natural drainage outlets below the dam, with some water running through them; there was also a larger sluiceway that had been cut, running away at an angle from the floodplain. It curved under the oak tree. Down the sluiceway, enormous fish were swimming by, one every few seconds. They were escaping from the lake and going downstream. The fish weren't native freshwater fish; they were saltwater species such as striped bass, yellowfin tuna, bigeye tuna, bull sharks, nurse sharks, etc. All of the fish were enormous; 100-pound striped bass, 200-pound tuna,400-pound sharks, and so on.

The sluiceway throughout its length (about a mile) was entirely inside the state property. My friend and I were talking, trying to figure out a way in which we could attempt to catch some of the fish without being arrested by a game warden. Suddenly a fat old male grizzly bear waddled up. He came from behind me, along the pond dam, so I didn't see him; my friend, who was facing me, saw the bear coming and managed to scramble farther up into the tree, out of harm's way. By the time I noticed the bear, he was already reared up on his hind legs, biting and clawing at me, attempting to pull me down out of the tree. He got ahold of the toe of my right shoe, and I couldn't climb further up into the tree; I pulled free of him several times, only to be recaught before I could climb away. We were at a stalemate for a while and I began to worry; then the dream ended.

Some dream interpretation books claim that water represents emotion, but it's broader and deeper than that; water (at least to me) represents connection to Source, the stream of spiritual consciousness and spiritual energy that animates us. Fish represent a prize or achievement, a spiritual treasure. I have dreams of seeing tantalizing fish in water two or three times a year (and sometimes I even manage to catch some of these fish), but I have never seen such large and rich fish in a dream. I interpret this part of this dream to mean that I have passed some milestone on my ascendent journey; something significant has happened to me recently, although I'm not sure exactly what...:-/

I have no idea what the grizzly bear signifies.

i dreamt i had a lucid dream. lol. in the dream i had a dream and my wrist read you're having a dream, or something, and i became lucid. but then i woke up and continued the dream. how stupid. Tongue

RE: The Dream Thread - Brittany - 07-05-2012

I've had those...dreams within a dream. At a certain point it gets so ridiculous that you start getting paranoid. You wake up and are like "Is it real this time?" Lol.

RE: The Dream Thread - Jeremy - 07-05-2012

Hello all. First post obviously so thank you for the opportunity to participate in such a place with like minded individuals.

So I had a plethora of odd dreams last week which marked the beginning of my serious efforts into meditating. I have been engulfed in the LOO material since I found it a few weeks ago and I just can't get enough of it.

Anyways, the first dream I had ended up being prophetic in nature. It involved seeing my grandfather on his death bed in their old house which they hadn't lived in for a good 25 years. It then moved to their next house which the rest I think is of no relation. This was on a Tuesday. I then talk to my mother on Friday who said they were heading over there because they couldn't reach him. They found him in his recliner barely alive. He still in ICU and undergoing a multitude of tests but it really caught me by surprise

The subsequent two dreams involved lucifer. The first it was merely a person without a face. I don remember much more other than he identified himself.

The next involved the more biblical or Hollywood type where he literally busted through the ground with wings ala demon style. As this happened, there were hundreds of ghosts or spirits all around me but that too is all I remember

6-30

I was transported some land that was Egyptian in nature but an ice version of it. The people were of egyptian look but modernized

After I came back I walked with some people through some woods where many people were hunting some were in trees, others on the ground. All hunting for deer. There were too many to web think about looking for deer so we turned back. It was cool but not too cold as I was wearing shorts which I noted

At the very end someone was incorrectly transported and was for a short time trapped between a block of ice. This temporary freezing caused the loss of one of the persons eye to which I gave them the advice that they should use it as a catalyst or learning experience.

Then me and my friend were in the woods where we found a trail that we found had all kinds of animal tracks. We saw some deer tracks so we continued to follow them. As we turned a corner, there were two big cats that resembled tigers but they lacked the typical tiger color. For some reason, chris decided to continue moving towards them to which they started to attack. I then went to grab anything I could to beat them back and grabbed a very large shell from the counter of the store that suddenly appeared. As I'm calling for help, two employees appeared to calm the tigers down.

Just before awakening, someone mentioned that behind a wall of ice, the confederation had a ship smaller than the size of my hand that was capable of transporting every human from the planet.

RE: The Dream Thread - Brittany - 07-20-2012

Had this super vivid dream last night. The emotional impact was so strong I couldn't go back to sleep.

I was an Asian man, probably in my late twenties to early thirties. From what I can tell, I had been bought as a child by this assassin order, and had been rigorously trained my entire life to be a soulless killing machine. I had been brainwashed from an early age to have absolute, utter devotion to the order's cause. I had a master who was directly in charge of me who was a dick, and I pretty much hated his guts, but to the actual order I was very loyal.

I also had a wife. She was a beautiful woman with golden brown curls and soft features and I loved her very much. She was in the order as well. At some point we got called to stand before the council, and they revealed that my wife had committed a grave offense. She had taken some of the artifacts she was supposed to recover on her mission and had kept them for herself, operating out of her own secret agenda. The penalty for such an action was death. I told them I would kill her, because I wanted her death to be as merciful as possible, and just like that I turned toward my wife to kill her.

She smiled at me and started fighting me. She had a blade. I was empty handed. But my reflexes were so much better than hers that she seemed to be moving in slow motion. I simply blocked each of her moves, then I finally pulled the blade out of her hands and stabbed it into her chest. She fell onto the ground, coughing up blood and spitting curses at me. Apparently I had missed her heart because she was taking a long time to die. I picked up a sword and cut off her head to end her pain quickly.

After that I fell on the ground and wept, utterly devastated. No one even tried to console me. They looked down on me for showing emotion. I was supposed to simply kill her and act as if nothing had happened, but the sobs coming out of my throat were wracking my whole body. I murdered my own spouse and there are just no words for the despair I felt. It was just awful.

There was also another dream that may or may not have been connected to the last one. I think I was still some sort of assassin, and I had an older brother who had pretty much gone on a vendetta. He was going beyond his duties and seeking out people he found repulsive and killing them, such as child molesters, serial killers, etc. At first I was helping him, but then I realized what monsters we were becoming. I had a very clear vision of him being murdered by the next man he tried to kill, and I was doing everything I could to attempt to convince him to abandon that particular hit. I loved him so much and I was so afraid he would get killed by this cause he just couldn't let go of. He thought he was invincible. I even went to the man he was going to kill and begged him to get out of town while he still could. I woke up before finding out what actually happened.

I suppose all these dreams are speaking to my own stubborn mindset. There are certainly parts of myself I've dueled with in the past, though I've been going for the inner harmony thing lately. The balancing work is never done, it seems.

I've also been experiencing a lot of the "lucid sleep" described on this thread, and it was interspersed throughout my dreams last night. I am not just lucid dreaming, but consciously aware while I am asleep. I'm usually doing some sort of metaphysical work that is just too complex for my waking mind. At the same time I'm aware of being in my bed and everything that is happening around me. I have talked to my husband in this state before, completely aware that he was in the room, but I had no real way of explaining to him what I was doing so my words sounded like gibberish. It's like operating out of two completely different platforms at once. Usually when I have these sorts of dreams I don't feel as rested in the morning. It's like I was working all night, then getting up to go to work, which is the case right now. >:-[

I've been doing exactly this last night and I'm very tired right now. What I was doing seemed so simple and self-evident, but now it just won't fit in my current awareness. Smile

RE: The Dream Thread - Brittany - 07-20-2012

Yeah, whatever I'm doing is so natural, and then as soon as I wake up, POOF. I can't even understand what it was I was doing. I've never really had this sort of experience until a few months ago, and now it's almost every night. My only beef with it is that I'm tired after these dreams instead of feeling rested, but I suppose I must be doing something important, and will understand its worth in due time.
