Golden milk. - Jeremy - 05-08-2015 Anyone else drink it? We started drinking it this week and its quite tasty. My energy feels like it has increased a bit but I'm mainly drinking it for the joint benefits. Turmeric has numerous benefits that you can look up As a side note, my girlfriends periods are always quite heavy along with cramping. Even though the period is still heavy, she has had no cramping whatsoever. We aaren't sure if it's coincidental or not but worth mentioning. It consists of 2 cups coconut milk 1 teaspoon turmeric 1 teaspoon of ginger(we haven't added that yet) sprinkle of black pepper Honey to sweeten. Simply mix it all together and simmer for a few minutes until steam starts but not enough nough to boil. RE: Golden milk. - Jade - 05-08-2015 I have seen this a few times recently and it definitely calls to me. I love all of these things so I'm sure it's delicious. Just need to remember some coconut milk and good honey next time I'm at the store!! I think I've seen it with almond milk, too? Do you use the carton "cereal" coconut milk or the canned, higher fat content coconut milk? Just curious. RE: Golden milk. - Aion - 05-08-2015 Sounds terrible. RE: Golden milk. - Jeremy - 05-08-2015 It's the silk brand coconut milk which I'm not too fond of using that brand but until I find a local source with another brand, I'm stuck with it. Whole milk though is wonderfully cream with it lol but we are trying for as natural as possible. All the ingredients are organic and the honey will be local raw honey starting tomorrow. RE: Golden milk. - Jade - 05-08-2015 As an aside, for the first time a few weeks ago I had fresh coconut water from freshly opened coconuts, and let me tell you, that stuff is amaaaaazing. Nothing like coconut water from the store. Anyway I haven't bought any honey here yet but I know one of the nurseries has local honey. I used to buy it more often at the farmer's market last summer (assuming where you will be tomorrow - jelly! None of the farmer's markets start here until next month) Anyway just my public service announcement to all, if you ever see somewhere selling fresh coconut water straight from the coconut, get.on.it. Also I'm excited to try the golden milk, because I know turmeric is amazing and I should be consuming much more. |
