Beautiful - Conifer16 - 08-16-2011

Hi all,

This is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I have ever heard. And at the same time the saddest. It reminds me of an abandoned music box and someone finding it and listening to it and hearing the history of the box. And then I get to thinking about how until I found the box the history of the person who owned this in the past was forgotten and it still is and there is some stuff that will never be remembered. And then I remember that it is just music I also realize that nothing is ever forgotten. All things are remembered somewhere and I get happy again. And I sometimes purposely induce this line of though because I love the melancholy feeling I get when thinking about lost history and people who are not remembered. I dont know why but that feeling is to me wonderful.

And bizarrely(Sp?) I am suddenly hit with the realization that it also reminds me of The Girl Who Waited. Smilely if you get that reference. I don't really know why, maybe because it is similar to her Theme song? Anyway smileys for all regardless of understanding the reference SmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmile

The link you gave goes to a playlist, not one piece of music??

Oh ok then search David Lanz on google and it should be the first video to pop up. It is called Christifori's dream.

Now that you named it, I remember that tune from decades ago! It was by far the most beautiful one on the CD. I thought the name was a teeny bit arrogant when I learned that Bartolomeo Christofori di Frencesco invented the piano. Tongue

Thanks for putting it back into my life.
