Gaddafi isn't a threat? gee whiz! - Oceania - 08-31-2011 what does this mean? it claims Gaddafi actually takes care of his people. i wanna move to Libya. RE: Gaddafi isn't a threat? gee whiz! - Xplosiw - 09-02-2011 I had this feeling all the time, that they are doing it again. We are being smoked, boys. I actually went and believed it for some days, but since then, I've actually had the gut feeling that Gaddafi is in fact a great leader that didn't want to be slaved. They are using the same tactics again: since they couldn't corrupt him, or assassinate, they started an open war against them and spread propaganda about him. They = NATO, USA, w/e I don't know. RE: Gaddafi isn't a threat? gee whiz! - Crown - 09-02-2011 No... Ghaddafi is a sick dictator. Sure he had his shining moments and when he was younger he actually stood for some values. But he just lost it. He's the kind of a leader who comes to a small village and everyone is forced to come meet him and then he's like "ok any complaints?" So lets say someone complains about the infrastructure or something so he's like "Bring that guy over here! I want him here!" and then when they bring that guy he rips on him infront of everybody and fires him. He's just an old nuttjob. So many stories of madness... Why wold the people go outside to demonstrate peacfully if eberything was so great in Lybia? Even if everything was so great, why did the armed forces open fire on these citizens? This is a hoax guys. People take conspiracy theories too far. All of those great things he did are true. But that does mean that his last years were total madness. RE: Gaddafi isn't a threat? gee whiz! - Oceania - 09-02-2011 it's not a hoax if it's true. what about the part about US lying about lockerbie, is that true? RE: Gaddafi isn't a threat? gee whiz! - Crown - 09-02-2011 I am not familiar with this case. I understand that Ghaddafi was somehow involved in that incident but... Its somehow irrelevant. The people went out on the streets to demonstrate not worriying about Lockerbie. Im sure that most of them dont even know what that is. Its sad that when people actually wake up and do something, other people try to dumb them down. I mean why is it so hard for the western society to accept that these changes are actually positive and pure? Because these things dont come from America or Europe? Im disapointed with humanity. I mean, what would happen if the Americans would wake up and demonstrate massively everywhere? Do you think that people from other countries would say "Ahh... thats just the CIA or whatever. Thats bullshit, its not real demonstrations". That would suck wouldnt it? Ghaddafi's family is a big tribe and they are basically armed. Its a millitia. If they are so good for the people, then why burn down a prison section with 25-50 prisoners inside? Just so they wont get away? Political prisoners, most of them youngsters... The reality is very grim and i am more than happy that the Lybian people decided to take no more. I am somewhat unhappy that people all over keep doubting those revolutions. Sure, Nato has interests. The US has interests and everybody does. But, remember that it took the NATO quite a long time to intervene in Lybia. People were already fighting the oppressive regime before NATO decided to help. NATO did not free Lybia, they helped the rebel forces win the war. They might have won anyway but it might have took them a few years. So yes, maybe for once, the US and NATO are doing something good? Maybe the US supported this kind of move because they know that allot of people in the streets of the US actually want that. and that it will give the current running office some popularity... Not every move made by the allied forces is a conspiracy to take over the oil and the riches... (Im not talking directly to anyone here... I just had to write down whats on my mind). Peace. RE: Gaddafi isn't a threat? gee whiz! - Richard - 09-02-2011 I think its refreshing, Crown, to hear opinions and analysis by someone right in the middle of it. Everything we read or watch is filtered through the big media organizations. Most of us are so far removed from the situation on the ground that our opinions are heavily influenced by those same sources. Thank you for posting! Richard RE: Gaddafi isn't a threat? gee whiz! - Oceania - 09-02-2011 questioning is usually good, isn't it? whether we question gaddafi or people's opinion of him. i don't blindly believe what that video says but i don't believe what the US says either. RE: Gaddafi isn't a threat? gee whiz! - zack231 - 09-02-2011 regardless of whether or not he was a great leader you cannot deny the 1000s of innocent civilians who have been killed at the hands of NATOs so called humanitarian act.. And also they are there to take their oil yes it is a conspiracy! Libya is sitting on the 13th largest oil reserve in the world.. And it has come out the the rebals have agreed to share the oil with the countries involved with NATO that means America, Italy and others.. This is after it is known.. Well perhaps not through the mainstream media.. that NATO has been responsible for civilian deaths in the thousands.. Including a hospital, an autism clinic and many hundreds of family homes.. This is no humanitarian act and even if you believe he was some kind of evil dictator.. There is no denying that NATO has made the situation worse killing many thousands of innocent lives and now they get rewarded with oil... Or maybe that just bombed the country and fuelled the rebals until gadalfi stepped down and it was just perfect luck that the 13th largest oil reserve was there and they get are large piece of it.. (Sarcasm) RE: Gaddafi isn't a threat? gee whiz! - Oceania - 09-03-2011 yeah they went there for oil. nothing the US does is unselfish. everything is moneymotivated. and it's none of America's business what Libya does if it doesn't threaten the US. no country has a right to play policemen of the world and go rogue like that. America does it cuz it's the big bully of the world. and if they were to unselfishly go to Libya to free its people, they have no right to take a salary, to steal their oil! i mean why do people accept this? it's wrong. i mean do you demand compensation if you go and force a sandwich on a poor man? RE: Gaddafi isn't a threat? gee whiz! - _X7 - 09-03-2011 Apparently distortions and polarities have extremely wide scopes. We may grow up with STO preferences. Or we grow up with STS preferences. Multiply these on many levels from personal to larger aggregations, (self...family...nation...world...galaxy...etc) Such tendencies intermingle to remarkable degrees. Hence confusion about everything provides very engaging distortions. Here is a comparable situation, in my opinion. Ex CIA Asset Susan Lindauer blows 911-coverup-whistle on youtube. Source: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G43zl4fzDQg Following are the major subjects which Susan addresses, lasting about one and a half hours on youtube. (Host Introduction Ends At 7:02) Some web text follows--- Susan Lindauer is a former U.S. Intelligence Asset who covered anti-terrorism at the Iraqi Embassy in New York from 1996 up to the invasion. Independent sources have confirmed that she gave advance warning about the 9/11 attack. She also started talks for the Lockerbie Trial with Libyan diplomats. Shortly after requesting to testify before Congress about successful elements of Pre-War Intelligence, Susan became one of the first non-Arab Americans arrested on the Patriot Act as an “Iraqi Agent.” She was accused of warning her second cousin, White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card and Secretary of State Colin Powell that War with Iraq would have catastrophic consequences. Gratis of the Patriot Act, her indictment was loaded with “secret charges” and “secret evidence.” She was subjected to one year in prison on Carswell Air Force Base in Fort Worth, Texas without a trial or hearing, and threatened with indefinite detention and forcible drugging to shut her up. After five years of indictment without a conviction or guilty plea, the Justice Department dismissed all charges five days before President Obama’s inauguration. She is the author of a recent book “Extreme Prejudice: The Terrifying Story of the Patriot Act and the Cover Ups of 911 and Iraq” |
