Here is a 55 minute video on the science behind the possible (inevitable if you believe the video) pole shift. In my opinion they do a good job of explaining things in laymen terms. The projection of what might happen doesn't particularly resonate with me, so you may want to take that section with a grain of salt/use discernment. Particularly I think the time-tables used are off(way too long).
Also explains how the Earth protects us from the solar wind, since some seem curious about how that and CME's interact with our magnetic field. Also speculates on Mar's magnetic field (or almost lack-there-of), including that it had a strong magnetic field / atmosphere and that it suddenly/mysteriously disappeared.

There is definitely a great deal of conflation between the concepts of magnetic pole reversal, physical axial tilt (with respect to orbital plane), and magnetic pole drift. I really doubt this video talks about continents moving.

No, it does not explain about continental drift... Not sure how that is relevant to the video. Can you please explain how these concepts are in conflict or elaborate a bit more on your point?

Point is simply that the term 'shift' from the channelled material is not talking about magnetic pole reversal or strength of the 1D-field, which is the point of this documentary.
