B4th, LoO and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Cyan - 03-02-2012 Has anyone played Stalker, and found the storyline and specifically the wish oriented ending to be uncanny and a bit freaky. http://stalker.wikia.com/wiki/Noosphere Endings are on youtube. IT is basically a story about 7 scientists who form a joined mind that they then use to alter the noosphere (Which is the 3rd layer of the earth after mineral and animal) that is unable to be affected by a single being but indeed needs a communal or shared mind. Their plans go awry because their motivation was to remove things from the field like anger and greed. If its not too much to ask for, could people read over the general storyline and then look at the youtube videos of the 8-10 endings and post what you think. The similarity to LOO is uncanny. However, that being said, the reason I consider STALKER such an interesting game is that it puts the player in charge of the main char as the guy who eventually realises it is a dream and starts to control it. All the shooting and killing aside, the game concept shows a definite expansion and eventual reaching into main stream of the "this is all a dream" hypothesis. It is a good thing! =) More specifically the endings in the game interested me. If you reach a glowing light at the end of it all and you get one wish, what happens! =) RE: B4th, LOO and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - godwide_void - 03-02-2012 Pickle, the occultespionage link you posted is proving to be an extremely interesting read. Thank you. Cyan, while I have not played this game, your description of it sounds intriguing. In everything they show us both sides. What happens though is the truth is given as entertainment and not taken seriously by the masses. RE: B4th, LoO and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Cyan - 03-02-2012 That seems to be the case, the serious world is the illusion, while the imagination is real, the closer to the imagination it is, the better it is. Deja-vu. I had a vivid dejavu and like 3 seconds later it occured. I was eating habanero chili and scratched my private parts. I have to post here because in the deja-vu I had i posted here about the Deja-vu I had when i put chili on my nutsack. I put a loop in my loop =) (I hope as many people as possible get this) RE: B4th, LOO and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Parsons - 03-02-2012 I played stalker but never made it all the way through it because I got too creeped out / lonely walking through a wasteland by myself. I am very happy you spoiled the ending since I probably would never make it through to the ending on my own. There are other video games that hint of things to come / the way things actually are. I decided not to mention anything unless someone brought something up since I already have my "songs for wanderer's thread" that has the purpose of trying to point out the starseed-type messages contained. This is more obvious in TV shows and movies, but all the genre's of art seem to contain hidden messages in them to try to wake us up. I can confirm a newer game called Tropico 4. This mostly has information trying to wake us up to manipulations of various governments. For instance, in an official mission from the makers of the game (called "Plantador"), you have to research various buildings instead of just having access to them. You start out the game forgetting everything you know, having to start from square one(not even roads). You are tasked with making lots of money harvesting cash crops such as tobacco / coffee. You have to research "mind control" to unlock the grade school, etc. Also... it has a black monolith showing up randomly straight out of 2001: Space Odyssey. I uploaded the monolith screenshot to http://steamcommunity.com/id/duncanidahotpf/screenshot/470863048349389558 if anyone wants to verify. |
