Why is it hard to breath? - Avocado - 07-23-2012

Not always, but often when I meditate I find it difficult to breath, sort of like I'm gasping for air. I don't feel like this until I recognize that I'm breathing on some level, even though my meditations primarily consist of continued focus on the breath. The breathing difficulty is connected to my solar plexus chakra. When I can't breath I can feel it there. I've evem read that meditating upon this chakra can produce feelings of gasping for air.

As for that I am growing in awareness of my connection to my ego identity, my empowerment and my connection with humanity as a whole society. These are all things that I associate with the yellow chakra. Perhaps it could be that this feeling will pass as I balance the yellow ray by balancing things associated with it such as the things I've listed.

I'm going to meditate using the throat friction technique from the awakening the third eye book. It seems that such a meditation involving so much oxygen flow effectively leaves no room for this feeling to manifest. Perhaps the catalyst will exhaust solely through meditation or a combination of the variables listed above. Whatever the case this is only temporary and will pass in time but I would very much appreciate hearing about your experiences having difficulty breathing (in meditation or otherwise). I thank you for serving the creator in this way.

I have found it harder to breathe progressively over the past 3-4 weeks. It has something to do with the ascension symptoms. Clearing out the lungs or something.

Ya know I just thought of something. The herb mullein is used to clear the lungs of gunk from smoking bakky or other herbs so maybe it can be used in the same way metaphysically... Or maybe we just need oxygen tanks? BigSmile

Hehe it will pass eventually. My eyes are constantly red and sore as well. But everything is brighter and more vivid, can see sparkles everywhere etc.

I am not a firm believer of "something is wrong with me -> must be ascension symptoms" stuff, and whenever I have some issue, it gets me thinking "where am I conflicting with myself that results in this chemical imbalance?"

What is scary (scary good or scary bad, depends on perspective) about this is that I always manage to find something that needs to be corrected in my mindset -.-

To Avocado: Sometimes in meditation, you slow down your breathing unconsciously up till a point where you might "Grasp" for air. I think that could be corrected with drinking more water daily and exercising a bit more, to make sure that your body is more fluid when these moments come. It just might mean that you are more advanced with your meditation than you are regarding your body's development, but that is just one wild guess, without any basis. But any way, next time just try to remind yourself to keep breathing, no matter where your mind wanders to : )

Me not so much either there Oldern. I associate my breathing with personal spiritual/mental stuff because these are my areas of most dense catayst but not the physical body because I have worked to balance it's health through diet and exercise, although the lack of breath is a very physical feeling.

@Avocado

Any plant that can be smoked is usually better vaporized. Smoking is very harsh for the lungs, vaporization is not, and is more potent.

RE: Why is it hard to breath? - xise - 07-24-2012

Might be the unblocking of a chakra. My throat chakra is still being unblocked, but the process started several months ago with the feeling that my throat area was being cut by a knife (stopped the meditation because it was so scary). Then it changed to a less painful choking feeling. Now the sensation is more of a soreness when I feel energy down there. but I feel flow through it now.

If I had a vaporizer I'd probably try to vape everything. Like say, grapes!

Holy crap!

...actually yeah I think what I'm experiencing is the unblocking of the yellow ray. I like your story it's funny. I felt like I was getting crushed the other day when in meditation, not pleasant Sad I'm glad it's working out for you xise. C:

Well unblocking is part of the ascension process, my throat chakra is definitely in the process of unblocking. It will happen traditional meditation or not, I haven't sat down cross legged and meditated in months, no need when I'am meditating 24/7.

Hell I'am meditating right now and now and now and now and now.

RE: Why is it hard to breath? - AnthroHeart - 07-24-2012

I find it hard to meditate. I am too restless and jittery.
I hope you're right about unblocking chakras being part of the ascension process, as I'm not able to do direct work on my chakras since my psychotic break that I had. I don't feel them anymore like I used to.

I do find though that my right eye will cry out a tear almost every day. It seems to happen on a daily basis. Just a single tear for no reason.

I have never really liked sitting down to meditate, sometimes It will feel right but most of the time the same as you I grow bored, I have had some needed experiences meditating but after they happened I felt no need to try and recreate them. They were simply there to act as proof of truth.

Do not worry Gemini, do not fear be calm and live and everything will turn out better then all right. Whether you like it or not hehe.

Some meditation practices state that it is precisely when you are restless and jittery that meditation results in even more dramatic work upon your energy body, for that restlessness and jitterness is chakra energy waiting to be balanced.

How do you precisely define your meditation?

I can't explain why but I find beauty in this. Thank you for sharing.

hmm, interesting.

...Well it seems I have found a simple solution to the breathing problem. I have replaced my strict-solid concentration meditation with a more general-fluid mindfulness meditation. Both practices involve mindfulness, so it would not be accurate to label the second one mindfulness meditation. In the second one I am simply aware of what is and am simply being. I don't know which is more difficult but the important thing is that it works. C:

I try not to define it, if I don't define it then I'am always meditating. The trouble with definitions is by saying what it is you automatically create what it is not.

To be honest words are becoming more meaningless to me by the day. Just the 6th sense starting to shake of it's cobwebs. I look forward to the day I no longer need to use words. They have been and will be useful to get us to the polarization necessary to realize 4d.
