I thought I'd collect a few patience quotes for my own consideration.

Yes this is one of my biggest challenges in my life as I have recognized the pattern of impatience throughout numerous instances of this incarnation. Especially considering my life is in quite a state of disarray in just about every single aspect, it's quite difficult and almost seems impossible to keep the faith in the creators will and the predetermined plan by my higher self that this will work out.
I keep reminding myself that things will be ok but there are times like over just the past 5 days when catalysts such as my car breaking down and I don't have the money to fix it, the girl that I cared very much for breaks it off with me, being relegated to only every other weekend with my daughter instead of every weekend, allergies going insane, along with not being able to find a second job while sleeping on a mattress on my parents living room floor makes one definitely wonder why so many catalysts must be activated at once

The Lesser Work of the Alchemist, in the Black Phase, whereby the athanor (body) temperament or temperature must be kept even over an extended period of time by the maintenance of the flame and constant attention to its heat to allow for the raw matter to process and blend alchemically, translates psychologically as the development of patience, mindfulness and awareness within the alchemist.

Eternal, your Alchemical analogy is nearly identical to the way I have both understood and experienced it.
First, "Temperance" in the tarot card is an well-known double-entendre for the tempering of steel. The crystallization of this archetype for me coincided with discovering this old Chinese quote on the day of the Venus transit:
"Only with tempering is steel produced"
Translates to me as maintenance of the flame of experience with care and patience until the given the crystallization point is reached and steel is produced.

These are rare these days and mean that should i try to fully understand the quote, a quest/experience/journey will be involved.

Well...ahem...I feel compelled to reply here...
...I am impatient for Homecoming, and excited and pleased that (more than the usual number of) regular posters on this board will attend. This is 2012, folks...we should have a party.
Please do not hold it against me, that I have an issue with patience here. We all have our lessons to learn in third density.

In some versions the Temperance card is even called the Alchemist. This is a good proverb which expresses this very principle. With patience comes integrity, for care is then put in to work, and with integrity comes strength and consistency.
