Mercury really is a strange little planet isn't it?

NASA probe offers new view of Mercury: an alien world right in our back yard

Of course, they had to throw this part in:

Quote:Just how Mercury was formed is another baffler. It is heavy with iron and sulfur — much more than Earth contains. But all of the rocky inner planets coalesced from the same disk of material. So why is Mercury so strange? “It’s like children in the same family,” Zuber said. “Same genes, same environment, yet they turn out so different.”

The part in bold is a theory, not a fact. Confused

You know that 2 Mercury years equals 1 Mercury day?

Just goes to show us that we don't really "know" much in science. In fact, hardly anything at all.

And now there's the theory that this scorching little world may actually contain water ice.
