Yeah, planetary symbolism can come from mythology starting from the babylonian days and others. Jungian astrologers do publish a lot on it e.g., on Saturn, Pluto, Uranus, Neptune (outer planets) as they have more significance on a global level. Liz Greene, Jeff Green, Donna Cunningham are just few who like to examine planetary symbolism in depth, incl. history. There's info everywhere lol you have to go looking for it. There are a lot of articles you can search here: http://www.astro.com/astrology/in_info_e.htm

If you're interested in the symbolism of zodiac signs, Aun Woer explains each one here http://gnosticteachings.org/books-by-sam...ology.html Add: Samael does explain planetary symbolism and its history thru zodiacs because each zodiac sign is associated w/ planetary symbolisms.

Great thank you. I just have a hard time accepting the symbolism of the planets unless it's explained where, why, and how that symbolism came to be.

If I remember right, besides being Scorpio in the traditional zodiac system, I'm Ophiuchus in that system as well. It's interesting. It's interesting to glean information from different systems. The different systems sometimes complement each other. The only thing is that I don't like to learn too much about the sidereal zodiac system. I end up getting confused when I compare those two systems. I don't know how to reconcile the differences in those two.

I don't because I only look at aspects and planetary geometry. Planets-in-signs are not as powerful as the synergistic relationship between planets, especially in comparison to the powerful effect of when 3 or more planets that interact together to create geometric shapes (grand trine, magical triangles, star of david, fortresses, yods, etc.,).

Interesting though that Libra was later added to the zodiac to balance the energies between virgo and scorpio (if you listen to podcast on Virgo by Samuel Aun Woer, posted above, he explains this). But 12 is kind of the ingrained number that works in western astrology if using houses and whatnot... so don't think 13 will fit. If the 13th sign is relevant, its symbolism is already blended as part of Sag and Cap and other signs.

You need the time/place of birth, I had hoped you knew them. Tongue

    10:45pm in Biloxi Mississippi.

Your sun sign is Gemini, your ascendant is Aquarium (no wonder I like you, my 2nd favorite sign!) and your moon is Taurus.

Seems like they changed the feature where the info for the birthchart was in the url.

You gotta fill this here : http://astro.cafeastrology.com/natal.php (there might be better website I am unaware of)

I think real forgiveness derives from detachment, as opposed to emotional forgiveness which may be ephemeral in nature. When the strings of expectations, attachment, need, and enmeshment are cut, one may then see the other without conditions, and paradoxically, be more truly connected. At that point one experiences the other without one's ego, need, or desire, and this detachment embodies forgiveness as there is nothing to forgive. It is my view that "forgiveness" is an emotional concept; while detachment is the bigger picture. Detachment oddly is the opposite of coldness and non-caring. Detachment opens the heart completely because there are no expectations to close the doors of the heart. It's the recognition, allowance, and acceptance of all things.

That is very beautifully said and reflects well how I've seen what it means to love all my life. Anytime someone would tell me of something or someone that is wrong, I'd do the work of seeking to understand in their stead because I held no attachment to how another being should be and instead sought to understand what makes others as they are. In this line of thought, we could say then that forgiveness is to let go of clinging to an unhealed portion of the self which encloses one's love into a conditional form of itself.

On the bigger picture, the Creator sought to know love in a detached manner as it did not need for Love to be a particular way but sought to know what Love is in it's fullness.

    Scorpio Moon

Quote:Scorpio Moon lives for emotional intensity. They have the ability to see through anyone right to their innermost feelings. This can be disturbing to some people and intriguing for others. They have a need for change and rebirth. Their life may be full of drama and upheaval which they feel is out of their control. But if their life begins to feel "normal" they are the first one to create some test for someone in their life just to create excitement. Emotional drama fulfills them.

Scorpio Moon wants it all… they don't do anything halfway or waste their time with meaningless relationships. They want commitment. They may also expect their partner to give up something for them, although they have a deep fear of betrayal. They may test their partners, even if they don't mean to. They come off as being suspicious, although once they have committed themselves to a partner; they are extremely loyal and protective.

Scorpio Moon has a great presence, even when they are shy. They need to spend a lot of time learning to control their emotions. They are very intuitive, but they may be inclined to use it for their own gains. They are passionate and fearless. Those with a Moon in Scorpio in their charts are excellent astrologers, or they may just have a strong interest in the occult and the unusual. They make good psychologists because they are good at understanding the intricacies of the mind.

Moon Sign Scorpio can be intimidating and are difficult to scare or shock. They have the ability to size up a person or a situation in a matter of seconds. Their powers can be used for good or evil, as the saying goes… and many times it depends on how they were raised as children. Those who were manipulated or deprived will not open up to others, while those raised in a nurturing environment will most likely be mild-tempered and easy to get along with. They can be jealous, possessive and self-indulgent. They can also be rather destructive, both to themselves and others. On the good side, they can be vulnerable, intelligent and ambitious.

Scorpio Moon is tenacious, and once they want something, they are like the dog that won't let go. Their stubbornness can stand in their own way at times, or it can help them overcome bad habits. They tend to be emotional, materialistic, sensual and secretive. They are also very creative. Their fighting spirit is strong and it is difficult for them to admit defeat. They can be fiercely competitive, especially with those of their own sex. With the opposite sex, they can often be wrapped around the other person's little finger, wanting to indulge that person's every whim. They could use a little balance in their life in this area.

Charismatic, Scorpio Moon attracts many, and must exercise caution so they are not tempted into multiple relationships. They don't like to be criticized. They are seldom mainstream in their ideals and don't always conform to all of society's rules.

Sounds about right! Lol. I have a good sense into how people are feeling. And to how or who people are, sizing them up quickly. I don't waste time with meaningless relationships, I am definitely an all or nothing person (and this falls into my 7th house.) I do have a strong interest in the occult and th study of the mind. "Fiercely competitive especially with the same sex." Wel I am a gay man and I remember with an ex BF that we were always competing with each other. (Video games mostly). He always tried to one up me and I like to be at the top, so I would try to do the same... and you get the picture lol.

Anyway, I think moon in Scorpio is interesting. I really like the Scorpio sign.

I recently came upon a newer system of astrology called "sidereal astrology." This form uses the exact placements and measurements of the signs and planets as they appear in the sky overhead. The Western world largely uses the Tropical system.

It makes perfect sense to me that as the heavens shift, so would our charts. The sidereal measurements are about a sign off from the tropical zodiac.

The Sidereal system also introduces a new sign: Ophiuchus ⛎ ruled by Chiron
Some say that the energies became active around 2010-2011 after it entered into the ecliptical plane, or the path of the sun. (I'm recalling from memory. If I said that incorrectly please correct me.) or we can look at it with the alignment of the galactic center, which was what 2012 was about. In summary, new energies are flowing into the earth as our third density comes to a close and the fourth density energies flow ever more deeply and fully.

Who is Ophiuchus? He is the serpent-bearer. Athen will give you a much more detailed explanation than I can, seeing as how this is brand new information for me, but its resonating.
    https://youtu.be/BDVFoj7OIHM

When one calculates his chart using true sidereal, it looks different. My traditional sign is libra, but in sidereal it is Virgo with Pisces Rising. I'm only just researching and studying this new chart, but so far, so good. My Uranus is in sagittarius in the 9th house and this is spot on for me. (Which may explain why I'm resonating with a non traditional system Wink.

Anyway, I thought I'd share this with you all. It's fascinating
