Remember, other than extraterrestrial, the possibility is always present (and quite likely) that it is:

Well, what with one thing and another, this type of off-white/kinda-grey propagandic release of info is as close as the
man in the street will get to the long-lusted-after & vaunted USG "Final Disclosure!!!" that various hot-&-bothered talking
heads in the UFO-truthiness biz have been sensationally banging their drums and blowing their horns over through these
many moons. Up until recently, 12 (the executive body in charge of bullshitting us all) had a veritable death-grip (enforced

helotism, hoarding the amazing advantage in everyday affairs preferred upon it by its unique proprietary knowledge.
Now that endeavour has become pretty much a moot point, and they realize that there are more important fish to fry,
they've relaxed that grip, and the truth will out as best it can -- given that a hefty portion of humanity has had almost three
generations' worth of a massive, sustained disinfo op run on them, and at this point are culturally conditioned to either over-
react paranoidally with maximum bogus-iosity to any sufficient and triggering stimuli (Shape-shifting reptilians! Evil Overlords!

mation. Maybe this really was a disclosure exercise gone awry, maybe it was out-of-control 
filmmakers who produced an end product the Disney chiefs didn't know what to make of. But 
it sure is fun speculating, and the show has since become a UFO conspiracy' staple -- another 
tantalizing hint of the truth, allegedly.
