It is the ego which causes one to see their self as unique and individual. So much so that one might feel that expanding on that reality means inviting others into your reality. When in fact, reality is that the ego is an illusion of the flesh trying to interact with its environment, and the consciousness is already One with those others.

During the awakening of the sacred Fire within the ego is consumed and destroyed because that awakening reveals the truth of its illusion.

Or you have the rare case like me, the person with NO ego. I have had low/ negative "self esteem", but never an ego. So not to make anyone feel bad struggling with their ego (I cant say I personally experienced it myself, but I can and will sympathize), is not ever going to be much of a problem. I am constantly vigilant about it... I never valued ego my entire life, but I know I am not above falling prey to it either.

Also, while you in your universe may believe you might experience this death on Dec 21 2012; I could be standing right next to you, yet I'm in my own universe with my own subtle rules, be unharmed by something you decided was going to happen in your universe.

You don't need to have come true whatever you a predicting to happen catastrophic then (if that is the case, that's what I thought you were implying). If you really allow yourself to believe, you can totally change courses. But only if you want to, you always have free will on this planet. =O)

I agree with you about standing right next to someone, and experiencing something completely different. Bashar talks about that in one of his videos.

From my experience, it takes more than belief to create changes in physical reality. For a time I believed a certain way, but didn't end up manifesting that reality, because it's too much different from my current reality that my belief system prevents it from occurring. For instance, where anthros are real. I believed it for so long, but hasn't yet occurred in my reality. There was something more that needed to be realized beyond my conscious beliefs.

i've examined most energy centers quite well, by peddaling their strength back and forth this last year...
A horribly painful experience, tho rich on learning.

the Solar Plexus is your ego construct... its that which absorbs from its surroundings to become more like it.
another thing it does well, is increasing what already is.

thus it accelerates. you pick a direction for it while it still isnt moving so goddamn fast (like during ones youth)
Making turns become harder and harder, the faster you are going. So to change direction of it, one needs to either slow it down or just crash... slowing down is unlikely tho, seeing as the yellow ray is one that strongly doubt it can ever be wrong unless something dramatic occurs.

just like if you wanna make changes in your aura, having Red (being calm/relaxed/maleable/youthful) makes it helluvalot easier.
By being destroyed, one is broken down into ones innermost building block.. wherefrom one is again agile, maleable and capable of rebuilding.... this time maybe into a different (or maybe even better) direction?

the solar plexus is capable of becoming white, but only if it absorbs colors from the rest of your energy body and surroundings in equal ammounts of each..
it is still your ego.

put the solar plexus in a place where everything else is darkness (like if there is ZERO non-yellow activity in your body and surroundings).... and you will see it slowly becoming like darkness.

Yellow is the energy associated with making one focused on what separates rather than what unites... yes.
Its thus also responsible of making you capable of telling the difference between two things...
Thats vital to survival, if you cant tell the difference (in taste?appearance?smell?touch?) between deadly and nutritious... you'll probably die.

other than that; the ego has a heavy arsenal of tools that can be used for the greater good... which doesnt really get seen much in our society, due to (almost)only finding it in its extreme/separated state when its strong within someone.
