We cannot solve the problems with the same thinking that created them - Albert Einstein.
Here is an interview with Gregg Braden and Bruce Lipton. Both are wonderful public speakers and I especially warm to Bruce as his compassion for humanity is quite palpable.
He goes into some detail about the evolutionary process of life on our planet. 40 odd years ago he was one of a few biologists that were studying stem cells. He discovered that these cells would form into tissue, bone, skin etc when placed into different environments. Given that all these cells were genetically identical it called into question our previously held belief that it was genetics that decided our fate, however his peers were neither willing to listen to, nor support his findings during those early days.
Old structures and beliefs (distortions) need to break down so that new ones can be conceived of and accepted (distortions) and he brilliantly narrates how the evolution of life itself has always functioned this way.
