the ram and the slaughterhouse

here on long island there was a story on the news. a ram had escaped from the slaughterhouse and was running around a brooklyn neighborhood. the police were chasing it. i just thought to myself how would i feel if i was the ram. stranger in a strange land. the ram must have been terrified . it saw no one who looked like him. at least the ram was going to be sent upstate to a rescue farm so that was good. the way we treat animals is inhumane imho. i just imagine the terror of a poor animal in a slaughterhouse. it cant be a lot of fun. i am not a vegan but i can tell u one thing i dont eat a lot of meat. thats for sure. and im not starting a vegan meat eater thread here. its about kindness and compassion and what we do to animals for food is inhumane , it is brutal and there can be NO denying that.

i dont know they didnt say in the story why, just that the ram was being sent to a rescue farm
