Correction,
Man is holding neither womans hand, but both woman are calling the man away from his position of sleep/reverence.
One is a clothed woman, one is a naked woman. But neither is looked upon as particularly interesting by the man with closed eyes.
To me, the meaning might be something far different which is denial of the "temptations of mara"
