    Hi.

I'm new here and new to everything to do with things like this. I've had an overly chaotic mind for some years now, and always thought meditation might help.

Anyway, lately I've decided to try it. I read these steps a few days ago, and on a spur of the moment just decided to sit down and try it. I had light harp music playing and didn't bother to turn it off.

So at first I was just breathing relaxing and listening to myself breath. And after a little it was like I was :/ hmmm... like... well I couldn't hear myself breathing though the sensation was still there lightly, I could hear my pulse, but soon that faded too. It was like I was inside a container in my head.
My body began to feel quite heavy and dense, and then warmth, but really really warm, almost hot. And then I felt like I was coming out of my seat and I wanted to freak out a little but didn't move.
There where almost ripple like circles around my mind (for lack of better phrasing.) It was mostly from the 45* upper left side. And then from other places more lightly. They would pulsate from the inside out in rings before fading.
The lifting out of my seat thing happened again, all while the heat and density hasn't gone away.
My imagination kicked in started going off all over the place, but that's normal for me.
At this point I decided to (lol) in my head do the Ooouhhmmm chant along with my breath, and very quickly I felt like I was slipping away and I don't know how to describe it this part, I guess almost like a roller coaster :/ I was only just aware of my body and that felt like it was going out of my seat. I started to get worried, and it calmed and I opened my eyes.

This was about 25 minutes, though it felt shorter.

My mind felt silent after. Even though I was thinking, it didn't have that background chaos it normally does. So that was cool, but instead I had a slight feeling of dread.

I don't know, it was really weird, and I don't know if i should do it again. It wasn't a terrible experience, but it was weird as hell. And that warmth was weird. My head felt hot.

Any words of wisdom please. I need my mind focused and calmed, and i'm willing to try anything at this point, but if this is going to make me worse, then I'd like to know.
