How true that sentence is. But now, one needs to bear in mind that happiness does not just fall into your lap. What is happiness? Happiness is the absence of all suffering.
Norral, from your post it seems that hapiness in general terms means perfect health, perfect peace, freedom from want or need. Let's assume for a moment that the above statement is your definition of happiness in broad terms. Where do you expect this happiness to come from, who or what should provide it to you?
You have touched on a very, very important point. Because what most people lack is happiness, or put another way, what most people have an abundance of is unhappiness.
