I get similar messages when I try to get in touch with my Higher Self. Sometimes when I ask what I am doing here it gives me the word "backup," as though I'm here as a sort of contingency and that I can be "activated" if needed, but for what purpose I have no idea 
It seems like until then I am just here to exist and observe.
My higher self is pretty quiet in general. The only message that I ever seem to get from them is "you're doing fine"
