When I know somebody only online, I often question my love for them. I fear that if I met them in real life that I wouldn't like them or they wouldn't like me. I fear hurting others and I fear being hurt myself.

I fear getting close to new people in real life for the same reasons.

What does this stem from? What am I failing to see?
