But more specifically, what bandwith of energy are you referring to?
May I assume you are referring to the weak electro-magentic force (willpower driven magic) instead of say. Radiowaves (which I also see through the device called "a radio" and so forth).
If we are talking about Prana/Chi/Mana/Emotions/Etc area of the Weak-EM then I visualize it through a complex system of energies, currents, subsidiary systems, centers, desires, manifestations, beings, paraller personalities and so forth. In the end result to get a good visualization you would have to:

Watch Naruto for some of the pressure points and accurate systems from start on up.
Then imagine a endless fractal beginning from where you sit in all directions and ending in "the void" which you can actually go to the other side of. And that the person you see is the interactions of you and that person until you reach "the void" (destiny). If you jump to "the void" you can see all the potential interactions between now and "the big crunch" at the end of time but you cant decode it short of short bursts here and there which enables you to see "soul level" data.
So. Add those together and you can have an idea of how I visualize. I see aura/chakra/energy-grid/intent/etc levels active or inactive as I need to prefer to see them for optimal interaction with my lifeline.
