I like to keep things simple, ample contemplation beforehand allows you to relax and flow with the moment when the contemplated problem arises. Like in my reflection above, I didn't even have to try it just all flowed into place which I take as a sign of increased balance.
yes, fully agree! we find things or systems that work for us, and then we make them our own. It's like first buying clothes, and then 'wearing' them in, to make them truly ours lol
yeah, and its great when you have an effortless example like the one you gave. That's when its all become self-internalised

you seem to have really found your calling with your psych degree. All the best on it! I met some of my closest and still best (and trustworthy) friends during my study years. Its an honored position to be, to be able to study what one loves in a supportive environment. And when you probe a bit deeper, you will find that beneath the exterior of 'normality' and 'academia' there are self-thinking people everywhere that do consider the paranormal things, and do value things like meditation and self-inquiry, and most have had a history with psychedelics and bizarre behaviour. It is only the 'convention' of society that restricts most people from discussing what is truly on their minds.
but behind closed doors, after a few beers, in private conversations ... these things are spoken of
