Framing. Change of perspective. Instead of suppressing the urge, while placing energy into the refusal, causes confusion as more opportunities to refuse will logically manifest. Energy put into suppression will bring forward more to suppress.

Reframing would be placing the energy into enjoyment of clothing already owned.

This can be seen as karmic balance as well.
