This was exactly my path too Plenum. Years upon years of contemplation, reading and studying. Mixed with experimentation, but experimentation with the intent of exploring said learned information.
Then it flipped.
Balancing through experience is the path to wisdom. Until one works on themselves, are honest with their distortions and imbalances, one may get lost 'seeking' for that last elusive piece of truth. That last golden nugget that will make sense of everything.
While all the time, that golden nugget is sitting in one's palm. The moment. The grand teacher for the seeker. It shows us how we think, it reflects back to us our distortions and allows us to go to work on them.
Experience is the great teacher of wisdom.
