Yup. It's the difference between the one who is the authentic seeker and the individual who stays in the perpetual honeymoon period which the initial exposure to transcendent notions provides. There are many who seek knowledge and in that respect have accumulated a vast amount, but without the complimentary application of that knowledge the 'seeking' is ultimately fruitless. The 'inner work', and ability to be honest with the self in an authentic manner, addressing the distortions which may present themselves through projection, or manifests as dis-ease, say. You come to a point where you realise knowledge is useless (No matter if it may make you temporarily 'feel good', or 'numb the pain' of being incarnate on this plane) if you're not willing to apply and distil that to new experience.
I've noted this shift as a general theme with the new spectrum of frequency that has been made available in the past year or so, and it's something I am consciously moving towards myself. That being, the core theme is less upon expanding ones knowledge base and more on 'walking the talk'. Speaking from a macro perspective is all well and good, but if you still find yourself reacting negatively to even trivial scenarios than it's certainly telling, and is the first thing people are going to see.
I'd say this is the real test of service, not through how much you 'know', but how it reflects through your actions, and the visible transformations made in ones life as a result of that.
