I think it is a very empowering (and healthy!) thing to do to acknowledge that one has 'biases'.

if the ultimate avoidance of catalyst is to deny that it exists, then the ultimate avoidance of the self is to deny that we each have biases, some of them which may be distorted in various ways.

once we are able to 'acknowledge' that we have biases (and some of them not well aligned to 'unity' or 'love'), we can then begin to work on them, and adapt them, quite often in a way that suits our fancy. We can start to shape those biases in a conscious manner. And perhaps move some of the more 'unhealthy' or 'unhelpful' biases into a position that is better aligned with the sort of person we would like to be, or represent.

but before that can happen, one needs to be able to 'acknowledge' that those biases are present. And that can take some courage.

every child is not only born with a personality shell, which can best be seen in one's astrological chart, but also a 'harvest' of previous lifetimes. We may have the Veil which clouds and prevents concrete memories, but we are most certainly not a 'blank slate', and starting from Point Zero.

Quote:92.18 The mind/body/spirit complex which is an infant has one highly developed portion which may be best studied by viewing the Significators of Mind and Body. You notice we do not include the spirit. That portion of a mind/body/spirit complex is not reliably developed in each and every mind/body/spirit complex. Thusly the infant’s significant self, which is the harvest of biases of all previous incarnational experiences, offers to this infant biases with which to meet new experience.

    peace
