Earth named itself I thought.
You're just born with that knowledge sort of, almost unconsciously. I am not just On Earth. I am Earth. Earth is I. Its as old as the moment Earth became Earth.
Or somewhere along the lines of history's various history massacres of textbooks and such antiquities containing History. You'd think we'd know if we hadn't burned half our true history into ashes. (Or maybe a fraction of half, I'm exaggerating a bit.)
To end of OP: I honestly don't judge the land by the people upon it. I find this very interesting how names change over time. Almost like the city dies and is reborn or reincarnating.
