I am tracing the chain of focus which seems to be a function of will. Ra discusses focusing the attention as the sole way to strengthen the will. Attention, I realized from your post, is best described by that 'seeking'. That is an interesting word. Seeking is what focuses the attention and thus seeking 'in the same direction' or upon the same concepts/potentials yields a strengthening of the will as you essentially 'mine' the infinity of that particular theme.
