We have used crystals for many purposes. The craft of which you speak have not been used by us in your space/time present memory complex. However, we have used crystals and the bell shape in the past of your illusion.

Why did Ra bring up crystals here?

I'll note this is relatively early in the sessions and those of Ra may simply be continuing to find their linguistic footing.

Just a guess, but from their point of view, all of this material, manifest stuff must seem more like simply patterns in a medium than separate objects interacting.  In the same way that it's easy to see ice as a crystal because it is a regularized pattern of water, it's probably easier for them to think of the "things" in this medium as structures of the medium rather than separate objects with all of these discrete relationships to other objects.

Earlier in the session they speak about interplanetary travel as a matter of thought.  Perhaps they're giving us a clue here.  For them, participating in the manifest world (i.e. "acting") is about articulating a pattern within manifestation.  Maybe that's how we should think of the concept of intent I talked about in my previous post: that our actions are articulating an unmanifest thought form from time/space in the manifest medium of space/time.  This thought form gets tested and reflected by the medium, imbuing it with a kind of sympathetic resonance or dissonance that is the harvest of experience.

It also speaks to something I was thinking about the other day: what's the essential difference between the archetypal station of catalyst and that of experience?  The way we talk about catalyst, i.e. that "something happened to us" that made an impression, confuses the distinctness of the archetypes for me.  Perhaps catalyst is a description of the thought form's manifestation in our third density perception, and experience is how we refract and transduce this manifest reflection of our thoughts back into the time/space unmanifest realm.
