Hey. This sounds similar to many dreams I've had. I've had "school" dreams, where I felt like the whole point of the dream was to teach me some valuable lesson. It was literally like sitting down in a desk and a teacher would say "Okay, today's dream lesson is...". The place where those happened is so beautiful I can't even describe it in words.
I also constantly dream about people I do not remember in waking life. Some them I am extremely close to and feel sorrowful when I wake up. It is possible that these are your guides, or maybe people you've known in past lives, or even other people who just happen to be in the dream world at the same time as you. I feel there are different levels of dreaming. Sometimes your conscious brain is just trying to sort out stuff you learned the day, sometimes you actually astrally project into other dimensions, or travel to other realities. In other words, don't feel like these people and this place were just made up and you'll never see it/them again. There's an extremely high chance that it was all very real.
I can usually do all kinds of stuff in my dreams that I can't do in waking life...walking through walls, telekinesis, telepathy, electricity manipulation, flying...the list goes on. The theory is that the part of your consciousness that interacts in the dream world remembers how to do these things while you in your waking life may not. It is also supposed to be easier to do these things in your dreams because the dimensions they take place in have less restrictions than our heavy physical world. My abilities in the waking world are much more subtle. I've used telepathy on very rare occasions, but it isn't something that happens often.
I've had the "evil entity sleep paralysis" experience as well. I recently asked a healer who was doing a session on me what this might be, and he said something along the lines of it was my brain trying to explain something it didn't understand at all. When I see shadow people and feel pressure and stuff like that, there isn't necessarily an actual shadow person there, but my brain couldn't possibly comprehend what IS there, which is basically some conglomeration of pure energy. It didn't make that much sense, but he said that these experiences are less of a negative entity harrassing me and more of my mind trying to deal with an extreme overload in emotion, since my barriers seem thinner than average. I release all these energetic emotions and it actually affects the energy fields around me and then my mind perceives this shift in energy and creates something tangible to explain it...I guess that's what he was saying. Of course, I suppose each individual experience must be interpreted by the individual.
I've got a dream thread over on Life on Planet Earth. Feel free to post your dreams on there anytime. :-)
