I can give you an alternative way such a thing was viewed.
About 5 years ago I was renting a house on a farm. You had to come purposely about 300 meters off the road to get near the house and nothing was behind it anyone needed to get to.
One day I'm approaching the front of the house from working in the garden and out from the back of my house walks the guy with a samurai sword. Knowing the doors were unlocked and an elderly 84 year old was alone in the house I was really really not pleased to see guy walking within 2' of my house along the side wall. Hell there are acres if you don't want to be seen there was no reason for a man with a sword to be so close to my house.
Still my thoughts didn't turn to judgement they turned to. What is he doing near my unlocked house with a sword? and I all 120lb of girl got ready to stop him and make sure no one had been sliced up because I left an elderly woman in an unlocked house while I gardened outside.
I asked him where he was going, he planned to continue through the horse fields with a sword and no that wasn't going to happen. Only because one of two things would happen he would get hurt or he maybe would use the sword on a horse. I couldn't be sure. I insisted he go along the road because not knowing him he couldn't go through a horse field with a 4' sword.
Honestly after talking to him I wasn't exactly comfortable with him but I could tell he hadn't just sliced up any grannies so at that point I wished him well. Still thought the sword was weird.
Turns out later that night the police had the road blocked off and we're looking for him.he had apparently tried to kill his father with his sword that day. Having only spoken to him for a few moments I can assure you there was no evil there. Not sweet or gentle but no evil. If he stabbed his father I know it was not of evil but perhaps some mental illness, or traumatic issue not healed. I sincerely worried for him after that hopefully someone who loved him got to him before anything got worse.
Now I'm not saying I am any better than you just illustrating a different thought process and yet I was not walked on. I don't think my response was impractical. I sincerely hope to never see him with a sword ever again but I'm pretty sure he understood that by me standing my ground, yet I felt much compassion for him and no judgement.
Just another way things could play out.
I dint truely think the trespassing was the issue but your hostility for a persieved slight.
You I assume want to be STO I think that is why everyone is trying to be clear. We aren't here to talk to the guy in your storey only you are here so really only your reaction matters.
Be well
