I had an odd experience last night.....

I have a very good friend, named Craig, who was best man at my wedding. About 3 months ago, he quite suddenly became very ill and had to go to the hospital. He was very close to death, and was on a fentanyl drip for two months; lost nearly half of his body weight. The doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong with him, and put so many medicines in him that they only made things worse. Then, almost as suddenly as he became ill, he turned around and began to recover. He is now out of the hospital and doing surprisingly well. His medical bill for the hospital stay was $1.3 million (but he has good insurance, thank Heaven).

A few days ago, he phoned up, and invited me and my wife to come visit him and his wife, to catch up on things, go out for pizza,etc. Craig lives about 75 miles away. Yesterday, we drove over to visit and spent a pleasant afternoon in his lovely home, then went in to Louisville for pizza. We got home late and went to bed.

I woke up about 4AM and couldn't get back to sleep for a while. I managed to get back to sleep about 6AM. I was awakened by someone rapping knuckles against my sternum. I opened my eyes, and there, standing next to the bed, staring at me, was Craig! He looked at me for a while, apparently to make sure that I saw him; then, he turned, and floated out of the room through the bedroom door!
