This is the first in a series of paintings I'm working on as part of my therapy.  It's called "The Price of Flight". It documents a journey through trauma-based mind control. It is the shattering of the identity that transforms the subject, that enables flight above the crippling pain. There is no way to run; one can only fly higher and higher, plunge deeper and deeper...until every reflection is a gateway. Sorry if anyone finds it disturbing. It is meant to be an expression of inner pain, not a depiction of violence.
