Maybe it's splitting hairs, but I find the latter a far happier standard to follow through the field of folly. The discomfiture, the vulnerability, the tuning, these are just exercises to get you hungry for the main dish...which is you, amigo, in all your finery and flummery.
This is pretty awesome. Thank you peregrine
Kind of you to say so. Thanks.

This includes indulging blockages that cause emotional reactions. But as you said, it's a slow process, getting comfortable with this type of expression, but being deliberate and aware makes the process move much more quickly.
Yes, and I would add to that there is phase beyond the leitmotifs which is far more fun and engaging. That would be composing new melodies and more intricate musical structures that weave together time and eternity. My bet is that the chickie-pooh above isn't sitting there tuning or just playing tune fragments, that her engagement in the creative process is more expansive. At the very least, you can tell she's having a ball by the fact that she keeps a bottle of champagne in an ice bucket on top of her instrument. I'm telling you, she has real class.

Besides, the payoff for really feeling these heavy emotions is exhilarating. If I wasn't getting good feedback, I'm not sure I'd be walking this path in the first place. A lot of what has guided in me down my recent awakening is very much about being able to see usefulness and glory in the tough stuff, and not about just slogging through difficulty without break or reward.
C'mon, you've met me. I'm not that grumpy! ;-)
I'm relieved to know that you're finding ways to amuse yourself amidst the "daunting amount of work," even if you do claim that sorrow and solitude are the only words worth remembering. I'm only trying to encourage you to follow your own inclinations................

You cannot tune an instrument without hearing its initial pitch. We have to get a baseline of emotional registering before we can work on it....
I'm just encouraging you to apply the same idea to spirit as well as to emotions---in your own good time.
