I think suffering exists to give life a fuller spectrum of experience, without it we wouldn't really appreciate joy as much. Ra went into detail in book 4 about how before "the veil" everyone was always happy and never really did anything to polarize, like someone born into wealth who always got what they wanted and never had to work for it. I like your sig.
