I can relate to your feelings. I've written pomes all my life... I feel like you, it's almost like I wrote stuff then, that is for now. The stuff I write now, I often don't understand yet.
Meditation/relaxing if not in silence - I like Snatam Kaur.
If I have wired energy to shift then I still love oldschool uplifting trance - many many hr's of my life have been spent dancing in space and well I'm still prone to bouncing round my house on occasions
