That doesn't resonate with me either. I've always had an affinity for the Moon. The Moon plays an important role in magickal practices, dreamwork, feminine energies, etc.
This reminds me of a Star Trek episode in which the Enterprise got stuck in a planet's orbit for what seemed to them as 1 day, but was several thousand years in the planet's time. So the ship became an icon to the primitive people on the planet, the subject of myths and even religion...All because a ship from the future got stuck in orbit! So then when they finally got unstuck, they had to take into consideration the repercussions of a primitive, religious society seeing their religious icon suddenly disappearing from the sky!
