A Prayer for all the Lonely People
Date: 15 July, Saturday
Time: 10AM EST, 3PM London, 10PM Beijing, 11:59pm Sydney
Location: Chatroom 2 - the Lounge

Theme: this planet can be a lonely place, even though there are 7 billion of us. Finding like-minded folks, ones that 'get us', and have similiar ideals and morals/ethics is not the simplest thing.
And yet, I'd like to think that we don't ever wander alone, and that we will find our kin one way or the other.
In the meantime, there are definitely different kinds of 'loneliness' that can be experienced.
I'm sure we've all experienced different kinds of loneliness in our lives. I know I have!
For all those that are still having this kind of pain, we can only offer a kind prayer for their situation; and that they will meet who they need to meet, when they need to meet them.
Namaste.

this Beatles song has always struck me as particularly poignant.

There are natural functions which have to do with other-self. Among these are touching, loving, the sexual life, and those times when the company of another is craved to combat the type of loneliness which is the natural function of the body as opposed to those types of loneliness which are of the mind/emotion complex or of the spirit.

Quote:"Eleanor Rigby"
Ah, look at all the lonely people
Ah, look at all the lonely people
Eleanor Rigby picks up the rice in the church where a wedding has been
Lives in a dream
Waits at the window, wearing the face that she keeps in a jar by the door
Who is it for?
All the lonely people
Where do they all come from?
All the lonely people
Where do they all belong?
Father McKenzie writing the words of a sermon that no one will hear
No one comes near
Look at him working, darning his socks in the night when there's nobody there
What does he care?
All the lonely people
Where do they all come from?
All the lonely people
Where do they all belong?
Ah, look at all the lonely people
Ah, look at all the lonely people
Eleanor Rigby died in the church and was buried along with her name
Nobody came
Father McKenzie wiping the dirt from his hands as he walks from the grave
No one was saved
All the lonely people (Ah, look at all the lonely people)
Where do they all come from?
All the lonely people (Ah, look at all the lonely people)
Where do they all belong?
