Dear Carla, Jim & Don (in spirit),
It is with the utmost gratitude and heartfelt appreciation that I thank each of you and all those that support your tireless efforts toward your organization of love, light and service to all. What follows is my story with no embellishments and no reenactments.
Almost exactly two years ago, I was steeped deeply in my own personal "dark night of the soul". The collapse of the financial institutions in mid to late 2008 snapped me out of my "slumber" as I frantically tried to make sense of this situation. None of it made any sense to me, and I couldn't understand how it made sense to others. I'll spare the details, but suffice it to say I knew the conventional channels of the media were simply not revealing what was really happening. It wasn't long before I was actively reading "alternative news" sources and actively participating on several conspiracy-theory based forums. For 5 months, I was absolutely driven to get to the bottom of the financial meltdown. Outside of working, there wasn't anything else I wanted to do but get to the bottom of this "mystery". Despite my best efforts, every story I followed always hit an unsatisfying dead-end.
At the height of my curiosity (and deep frustration), I ran across a new topic on a conspiracy theory board, abovetopsecret.com, that was started by an individual who went by the handle "hidden_hand". He stated he was a member of one of the 13 mysterious family "bloodlines" and that he was obligated to answer the forum member's most pressing questions if he was allowed to. What followed was a remarkable Q&A exchange unlike anything I had ever seen before. I read, and re-read the entire thread many times trying to absorb what was written. I tell you this story, because within this thread, a couple of posters commented that what hidden_hand was saying sounded a lot like the "Ra Material".
Being the ultimate skeptic at the time, and unsure who or what to believe any more, it took me about two weeks until finally I Googled "The Ra Material" and so the story begins...
You can imagine my surprise and astonishment as I began to read the first few sessions. I was a 40-year old non-denominational agnostic through-and-through. I certainly considered myself quite wise to the world. I had studied all types of religion and philosophy, buying wholly into none. I knew there was "something" out there, but I was quite clear that no person, religion or philosophy that I was aware of knew precisely what that "something" was.
As I began to read the material I had to go very slowly at first, and often re-read entire sessions to grasp even the smallest portion of what was being said. As I began to absorb some of the earlier sessions I soon noticed that I was getting goosebumps frequently as I read certain passages. The goosebumps increased as I continued to read.
I'll never forget the most profound moment of my life during the session where Don asked Ra to offer some practices and exercises to help the readers understand the Law of One. When Ra said "gaze at others and see the Creator, gaze in the mirror and see the Creator, gaze into creation and see the Creator", I stopped immediately filled with goosebumps and closed my eyes. I began to wonder "could this be right, could this be true" as every cell of my being was saying "Yes, yes, yes". I paused in reflection, and it was in this moment that something in me shifted so deeply it was unmistakable. It was in this moment I knew without a doubt that I had finally found some undeniable and profound truth and what a glorious and uplifting moment it was for me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Needless to say, every single moment I had for an entire week, I was reading these sessions. My productivity at work plummeted to an all-time low. I ordered pizza or anything that I could get delivered every night for dinner. Every free moment at work I was reading more. I think I even skipped a few showers as I considered it a "waste of precious time" during this period. I read slowly and carefully, non-stop for 7 days. My brain needed a rest for a couple days, then I read it from start to finish all over again. Truly an amazing two-week experience. I was in sheer joy the entire time. Despite only understanding a fraction of what I had read, I finally knew I had found what I had been seeking all my life and it felt wonderful to know.
I can say without hesitation that reading the "Law of One" was my very first deeply moving and transformational spiritual experience. I've since devoured all the Seth Material, Elias, Abraham, Bashar, Saint Germain "I AM Discourses", Orin & DaBen books through Sanaya Roman, and hundreds more books, CDs, videos, websites, etc. along the way. All of it is wonderful, but my fondest memories still lie with the beginnings of my awakening with the "Law of One".
I ordered all the books weeks later, read those from beginning to end and I've re-read the material twice more in the last 18 months. And I plan to read it again and again, at least once a year, understanding a little bit more each time I do.
I hope you enjoyed my story of awakening and I hope you all know just how important the work you have shared with the world has been to me personally. It changed my life for the better in an instant, and I'm so very grateful to all of you for it.
