Thousands of blackbirds fall dead from sky

Spain: Two tones of fish (of the same species) have died in a river near the city of Valencia.

What's really strange is that, in most of these cases, they are all the same species. How would something target just one species?

The most likely explanation is that the birds were killed in-flight by changes in the composition of the air they were breathing. And as it turns out, Noctilucent clouds are largely made of a poisonous gas known as Hydrogen Cyanide.
