Do you have acid reflux ('heartburn')?
Cutting-edge doctors now assert that, contrary to popular belief, heartburn is actually a sign of too little stomach acid, not too much. When the body's organs and tissues are too acidic (from too much acidifying foods like meat, sodas, sugar, etc.), then the stomach becomes too alkaline, and fails to digest foods properly, resulting in stomach acids and incompletely-digested foods to be burped back up.
Until recently, the remedy was thought to be antacids, but now these doctors say that this only makes the problem worse in the long run. The solution is actually to alkalize the body, with more raw fruits and vegetables, alkaline water, and less meat (and soda should be eliminated completely).
Many people following this regimen notice complete alleviation of sour stomach/heartburn immediately, often within a couple of days. This happened to me.

You are not alone! Many people have experienced this.
And, many people have found that when they added foods rich in essential fatty acids (raw nuts, seeds, avocadoes, etc.) that hunger and craving for meat vanishes.
