The origins of the Ra material and Edgar Cayce are both related to areas around Kentucky. L/L Research is in Kentucky.
It's a part of one story. That quote answers the question of what service to others actually means.
And the Ra material got it's named copied off of the Seth material. I was just reading how Carla tried reading Seth and strangely fell asleep each time like she was being blocked from reading it. While the other members of the channeling team read it and were inspired.
A publisher called it Ra material because they saw the success of the Seth material series.
It's a timeline of people that inspired each other. Edgar Cayce, Seth, Ra
There were others before but the link between these three is interesting. There's only so much Ra you can read until there's none left.
So I am not sure about you but many people probably first heard about the Law of One from David Wilcock. Interestingly he has an ebook where he lays out the evidence for the possibility they he is the reincarnation of Edgar Cayce. He was also strongly drawn to the Ra material and the Wanderer community in general. He did personal channelings earlier in his career.
We also know that a great number of wanderer's are those of Ra. So it is not impossible for Ra-Ta, Edgar Cayce, David Wilcock, to be incarnations of a single wanderer or multiple wanderers from Ra. The material itself alludes that one or more of those there to channel the Law of One were also wanderers from Ra.
If you had read the Seth Material you will also note that the majority of those who came to hear Seth regularly were those of what Seth called Sumari, or one of a group of souls. This fits in nicely with what Ra calls social memory complexes. It is possible that they mostly hailed from one 5th density social memory complex as wanderers.
