quite interesting. in this thread, i remember we going down way towards what the attitude of the entity should be towards 1d elements, leave aside gardening and insects ?

Ah, yes, I did read that part, where you put forth the (obviously admittedly) radical idea of consuming sand and air for sustenance. It didn't register completely because I didn't see the mention of insects.
I agree with the principle you put forth, but what I guess I didn't see was any practical applications? Given the average as well as the varied extreme human metabolisms, are you aware of any way to sustain off of 1D material?
I think that we are basically in agreeance as far as slaughter of 2D beings goes, that is, a 2D being is a 2D being, whether it's a bug, carrot, tree, or chicken. Correct me if I'm wrong.
