This theory has been bandied about new age forums for quite some time. The thing that always bugged me about it is we'd never know the difference. Not remembering "here"..or any past lives for that matter, how do you take the lessons of the past forward? Some say that your higher self learns, but there is no way to confirm that.

I suppose I'm too firmly planted in the here and now to give much credence to this line of thought. But I remain open minded to an event in whatever form it takes. Just show me for pete's sake. But don't bamboozle me with alternate worlds in which I just materialize never knowing anything changed.

Thats if I have any say in the decision to begin with.
