You might feel differently if you lived in a home, or even a slum, which did not have any power - no lighting or warmth.
Or if you were one of those exposed to the radiation from a disrupted nuclear reactor.
The other aspect is Gaia herself. A world of non explosive (polluting) energy (including nuclear), would be much healthier for the planet itself and all living beings upon it.
