Prayer...Whom do you pray to? Are we just talking to ourselves?

I've heard you can't create in someone else's reality, so praying to change someone else won't work.

I think it changes our mindset toward who we pray for. Kind of a process of achieving forgiveness and acceptance.

EDIT: Unless of course we actually believe we are changing someone else. That would be a practice in futility. Which is what you were saying. (inserting foot in mouth)
