With 'normal' diets yes, but with a raw vegan diet, counting calories becomes a thing of the past.

Yes. Beans aren't edible raw, so they must be either cooked or sprouted, and not all beans are edible sprouted.
Nothing wrong with cooked beans per se. They're just not raw.
