Creating a Shield

Be warned though... A shield presupposes an attack. A shield presupposes that the world is a dangerous place. Time spent to build shields is time spent co-creating being under attack.

Why not invest the same creative energy into visualizing the world putting on your path all you need to grow and thrive?

I've been walking and working in the occult for almost 2 decades now, I never shielded myself, been under clearly intended attack once or twice, broke a lot of safety rules, did some honestly stupid things, and never ever had any negative side effects that I noticed. I believe that a positive outlook and honest intent and work to improve yourself as a person takes away the chance of even coming under attack.

This is ok but should not imho be taken as advice for all readers.
I have also been sloppy at times and almost paid for it with my 'life'. There were some really ugly scenes that I would not wish to repeat.
I'm the opinion that I you feel that you should shield - then you should most certainly shield.
Usually good preperation before any magical working suffices for me, but there are missed steps and little 'accidents'. That's when someone negative may slip through the membrane.
This as always is personal. My life so far has been very involved with darker aspects so I guess it's natural to have a fairly high sense of suspicion. It all depends of what each individual has prioritised for this particular life experience.
