You are right. My second Aya experience was like that, I found it hard to stay awake. Then I felt that there were little spirits, playing around in my mind, pulling levers, seeing how I would react. They were definately not 'me' - they were not kind either.
Alcohol is another doorway to these types of willful spirits - hence the naming of booze as 'spirits'. A prominant UK medical journal published research showing 'alcohol more dangerous than ecstacy and cocaine' - and that alcohol would be classed as a 'Class A' drug (i.e. most dangerous) if it were to be introduced into the market now.
Hemisync / binaural beats however, completely non-additive and non-damaging ... like a crash course in meditation. One Zen Buddhist who tried it said it was like having spent the last 20 years of meditation practice to get to this point.
