I agree with much of what Brittany Lynn has said. It may or may not have to do with repressed emotions though. Perhaps you already know your problems areas, and there is simply a certain amount of acceptance lacking.
It has been my experience also that we're responsible for letting these thought-forms become "real". As Pickle always says, it comes down to belief. A suggestion is given and if you pursue it, you then begin to slide. If you simply don't believe what is being suggested, how can it have any kind of power over you? It's not that easy of course.
Studying the Ra material could be likened unto building a structure. If you accept it as real the structure becomes your belief, and it is a part of your consciousness which is you. You identify with it and live in that reality. It's said that we're to balance all thought. The Ra material is providing us with all sorts of novel thoughts, isn't it? Yet we're too busy believing it, building up a charge, a structure, without being presented with conflicting thoughts. Perhaps what's happening is that once you reach a certain level, able to perceive infinity, all these antithetical thoughts come rushing in to fill in the holes of the structure you were building in an attempt to balance that charge.
With all these conflicting thoughts it becomes hard to know what is true, which is where the will seems to come in. Learn to love yourself and believe in yourself. What do you believe in? For me personally, I've refined the philosophy presented by Ra down to its basics, leaving out a lot of the detail, and I try to be practical in life. I try to keep my head out of the clouds and work directly with the catalyst in front of me. Because as we progress, the teachings should only become more refined and less complex.
